Sounds like a smartass question. If you know the answer why ask? I can think of more than one way- remove the foil cap, place in a pan of hot water - the cork will pop.Have somebody hold the bottle in the doorway of one room and use a corkscrew in the room next door and pull the cork.

this is simple and this is also a tried and tested fool proof way of doing it. just put the bottle of wine beside a roaring fire and in about 10 - 15 minutes the cork will pop out with the rising heat inside the bottle and the liquid is forced down so you wont spill a drop.

Wedge the bottle in a door and pull the cork form the next room.

Take the metal 'cage' off a bottle of bubbly, I think the cork will pop out itself!

If you leave white wine in the freezer the **** will pop out on its own! Not good for the wine though.
