That will be the whole New Jerusalem, Kingdom of Heaven thing. They mention it a few times, usually in connection to the end of days, God's final judgement. This refers to the time after this world is destroyed when everything will be nice and all the bad people will be condemned to everlasting torment in Hell.
According to Paul in Ephesians, the only way one can enter the kingdom of heaven is by God's grace, or as he later claims, contradicting his first assertion, by being good and following Jesus' teachings. As it is purported to be the final act of God's plan, you can say he is the one who set - quite literally everything - up.
New Age, as in neopaganism and alternative spirituality is arguably so called because it fulfils the prediction of ancient astrologers. The new age we are about to enter, the Age of Aquarius, was predicted to be characterised by a revolution in spiritual thought.

Not on this planet...
2Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will destroy everything in them. God will judge the earth and everything in it.
11 So everything will be destroyed. And what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives. 12 Live like that as you look forward to the day of God. It will make the day come more quickly. On that day fire will destroy the heavens. Its heat will melt everything in them.
13 But we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth. Godliness will make its home there. All of this is in keeping with God’s promise.

I don't think it was referring to "New Age" (crystals, aura's etc), as we define it now. It was meant more as "a new time or era."
