Typically they are good through the entire month of expiration. So, if your card expires in March 2007, it is good until march 31st.

I use to work for National City Bank. I saw this everyday. Unless your credit card has an actual date on it like 3/1/2007, then it will expire at the beginning of the month.
When we would swipe someones card either for id verification or to do a cash advance the computer would immediately alert us that the card was expired.
Now the routine is for a new card to come in the mail before your card expires. If, for some odd reason, it does not then go to the bank and start raising hell because someone goofed up. Now you will have to wait 7 business days to receive your new card and you might have difficulty using your card in department stores or grocery stores.

The credit card expires at the end of the month. The credit card company sends you a new card when the expiration date is one month away. Don't worry you will receive it soon. If you are not sure, call and ask them.

Ours become invalid on the first day of the month of expiration...i.e. 03/07 means March 1st 2007..some other cards may be different but you should receive a new card a least a couple of weeks before that so if you don't ....call your card issuer to make sure it has not been mailed and been stolen or lost.

The issuer should send you the new card early in the month it expires.
