doubtful that any branch of service will send you away for misdemeanor charges. worst case scenario, call a recruiter, they can, more than likely, answer that question before you can finish asking it. I've known people in the service with felonies before. As for classified positions (i.e. job's requiring a security clearance) that may be a different story. I, have, though, at one time, processed people for clearances with rap sheets the size of a small novel. Did they get em? couldnt say, but i do know that they were allowed in the Army, and were allowed to enlist with a job that was known to require a clearance, and it was no secret they had a criminal background. So, in the end, im gonna say, short answer: yes. yes you can get in the navy with that record. should you join the navy. No, because im gonna make fun of you for the rest of your life for being a seaman. but thats just me as a Soldier.

I believe you would have to pay those charges before actually joining since they only want the best people or those who they can trust on the field. You may have to wait up to a month before you actually join since it could take some time for those charges to clear on your record first.

I thought you had already joined the Navy? Bah.
I'm guessing this is a kind of, follies of youth sort of thing. As long as you have no debts to society, like PUBLIC SERVICE, before you go to boot camp, you should be fine.

Do the damned public service hours. Really.

how many times are you going to ask a variation of the same darn question?

For the umpteenth time:

as long as you have outsatnding fines, warrants or probation, you will NOT be allowed to enlist into ANY Branch of the military.

OH
MY
GOD

ok... it doesn't matter how many times you ask this question..
or how you word it

if any of these items have outstanding fees, fines or probation attached to them, you need to clear that up first... then take alllll the documentation to your recruiter, and hope that he doesn't put you together with this website!!!!!

Get your butt out from behind the computer and go take care of business!!

It shouldnt be a problem. But you will never know unless you try. The worst they can say is no. If they say no there are other branches. Good Luck
