Yes! My boyfriend will always do that. Also anytime I walk up stairs he feels the need to pinch my bottom or just leave his hand there. It is slightly embarassing sometimes.

Men who want to express there sexual dominance and ownership of you as their "property" will do this often. It can be very demeaning in public because others view it as what it is - a power play. If it makes you uncomfortable, tell him to stop or at least be more discreet.
If you enjoy the attention and public display of your relationship's sexual power politics (with him as master and you as slave), then carry on.

My man slaps my *** all the time, in private in public, at the grocery store, on the dance floor - it's just a man thing. Hell, my sons even do it! Men like big asses (especially black men).

Like on "Along came Polly". We can't help the relfex sometimes. He's probably an *ss man. Depends on if he does it outa no where, or if you're already showing PDA and then goes for it. If you get a lot of comments on your backside.. he may be claiming territory... guys like it when other guys admire their girls....from a distance.

Girl that is another way to signal to other men to step off, this one is taken. Men have their signals and we women have our looks. Think about it this way, ....... When other men look at you they are going to look at your booty, okay, we know this,....... so therefore they are also going to see him slap you on the butt. Make sense? It's a signal that's all. Some men do it but other men are more secure!!!!

In public, he may discreetly cop a feel, but never if anyone else may see.
Mine doesn't slap it, but he HAS to touch each time he passes by me at home.
Sometimes we never leave the hallway.........

I'll be honest, I do it a lot to my girlfriend. I know it sounds strange, but its a sign of endearment; not to mention, it is our way (guys) of flirting and being playful.
I do think that there is a time and a place for it; for instance, I wouldn't do it out to dinner with her folks.
If you don't like it or you think he does it too much then you need to address him about it or he will continue to do it.

sometimes... but if you dont like it, just politely ask him to stop. some women view it is demeaning. like, a man being able to slap them when ever he wants to without asking for her concent first is like saying :"your my property, you take what ever i give ya like it or not" now a days thats not acceptable unless thats what you want. so you tell him if you dont like it and if he doesnt stop have a seriouse convo... if you do then let it go. lol

Be ready when he does that and reach sideways and flick him in the crotch area,He will bow to you and after a couple times of that,he will stop doing it in public,I KNOW!
