Hell is a word that was used to translate three terms Sheol (Hades) and Gehena, the first two words one is in hebrew the other is greek but means the same the no existence state, the third one Jesus used for representing a complete destruction, in the first one God are going to take people out of that state, but in the case of the Gehena means everlasting state of no existence or second dead, for example if you erase a file from the desktop, if you go to Recycle bin you will see it but but you can´t open it that is like being in Hades (Sheol) but what happens if you erase from the recycle bin now the file you will never be abe to recover it , that is like been in Gehena, the lake of fire. read revelation 20:11-15. So people confuse those terms because the translator of some bibles made a mistake using a same word to translate two different thing.

Where did you find that fire at over a billion degrees, it turns black? That make no sense whatsoever. Fire is a chemical reaction between oxygen and a fuel source which as a by product produces heat and light. Now, potentially if all the light was emitted as heat or infra-red radiation, it would appear black or more accurately not there as black is the absence of light.
I fail to see what energy has to do with hell....

No, I didn't *know* that. Mainly because it's completely untrue. I mean... so much so that I don't even know what I can say about this aside from that. It's just simply wrong. Wrong like 1+1=3 is wrong. What else do you say? Fire never turns black. There are some substances that burn with an invisible flame, but invisible does not equal black. Invisible means it gives off no light, black would mean it's absorbing light. Nor does that have anything to do with the temperature of the fire, just the material being burned, just like copper burns with a green flame. Please check your facts before you let this kind of crap spill out of your mouth.

Then by that logic, the sun should be black as well as all stars in the universe
I don't think the sun and alll the stars in the universe are black, do you?
Just a litlle bit of advice - Just stick with the whole faith thing and stay away from trying to use any logic or science to prove your beliefs, you look much less silly that way.

Keep spreading the message of Christ to your friends and let them know about salvation in Christ. The lake of fire is nothing to look forward to, but eternal life with our Creator is the best thing there is. God bless you in Jesus' name.

Did you know that perfect soil is black in color? I wonder which kind of dirt God used to make Adam. He may have been black. Eve was from a rib so she may have been white....lol

I think that the fact fire can burn black is very cool, but I think believing in God is cooler. I know, I know that sounds extremely cheesy.
