From time to time I suffer from severe headaches that are triggered by my eyes. Sometimes it is the computer screen, sometimes watching too much tv, and sometimes even the lighting in the rooms - if I am in that room for a long period of time.
The strangest thing though is sometimes if things are real quiet, I can hear my eyes moving from left to right..or right to left. Not like hear them out load or anything, but my brain picks up on the movement somehow. It sounds like a "swish" sound.
Maybe like a small switch being swung around real fast through the air.
Have you ever heard of this?

I had to actually laugh out loyd when I seen one answerer actually suggested I was imagining it.Which would be to suggest I am crazy I guess?
I think people hear ringing in their ears too, when there is actually no ringing sound being produced in the air. Are they imagining it too?
Most people can see light spots when they close their eyes at night..are they imagining it? Can you see without your eyes open?
I have talked with multiple people that have this eye issue, and I am pretty sure all of us are not "crazy"..just looking to find what causes it. Not looking for a "cure", cause its not a curable thing I dont think..and its not a discomfort.
Could be linked with sinus pressure some have said...? Most everyone agree it is a sensitivity issue, not linked to the sensitivity to light, but working in the same way.
Side note: I am a webmaster and work MANY hours at the computer with multiple monitors. My eyes are moving left to right ALL DAY. But this only happens in the mornings.

a lot of time, people who get migraines have a higher sensitivity to all sensations. In this case, your mind is confusing the feeling of your eyes moving with the sound of your eyes moving, that is it is processing a feeling as a sound. Some of this mild miswiring is probably what causes the headaches/migraines too.

i haven't heard of the swish sound but i find my eyes get sensitive to light as well. I will bet you have either blue or green eyes which have less meletonin in their eyes giving them a lighter colour. If staring into lights like monitors and tv screens bother you, which they bother me, try turning down your brightness of the screen and turn off peripheral lights to reduce the stimulus your eyes are experiencing. I find having only the tv on, and turning the other lights off really helps myself from being bothered by the lights and turning your screen brightness down 10 points on your monitor will help alot. After a few minutes you won't even notice the difference anyways.

What you most likely have is a dehiscent semicircular canal in one of your inner ears. The most common canal involved in patients who have this uncommon disorder is the superior canal. Less commonly, the posterior canal is involved. I have not seen a case with anterior canal involvement and an not sure this is anatomically possible. In any case, the classic c/o being able to hear your eyes move is almost pathognomonic for this disorder. Lots of information about it available. The "cure" involves neurosurgery so most patients choose to just live with it.

i think you're imagining it. if you're not actually hearing something with your ears, you can't HEAR it. you can't hear something that is inside your brain... unless the sound is made loud enough to where the ears could pick up on it, like when someone tears a ligament and you hear the pop or something like that.
