I had a christian tell me I would be in hell as long as it would take a sparrow to take a single grain of sand from a beach and fly it to the farthest star and then return and pick up another grain of sand and repeat until all grains of sand were flown to the furthest star.
Sounds like hell for the sparrow too.

there is not any eternal hell. The punishment you face in afterlife is proportionate for your sins. you've a soul. in case you do not have self belief there is something in afterlife, your soul will hit upon a huge void in death and your soul will wade through in darkness until eventually you recognize that you're literally not on my own (which will take hours, days or maybe years...). God will continuously be there to boost you His hand see you later you seek for it. the perfect issue you are able to do is attempt to be virtuous in this existence and your afterlife will income a great deal from it. Well like the name say eternity or forever, past the end of time and beyond, infinity, etc.
That's a really hash punishment for people who didn't believe....

The concept of time as we know it now will cease upon our deaths. Eternities are nonending, known and understood best by God.

to say u live an eternal life in hell would imply the same as christians "heaven", "but whoever believes in me shall not perish but live an eternal life"
death is supposed to be punishment for our sins. death is ceasing to exist.
hell is made up to scare people into believing. if u read the bible there is no place of great torture that people live there eternity and what not =\
