You can't convert fat into muscle. However, you can shed the fat and increase your muscle mass.

You don't need fancy equipment to do this. I would recommend you look into the US Navy Seals workout found here:

You should be able to do many of these exercises at home or around your home.

First off you can't convert fat to muscle, They are different cell types. Furthermore fat can't be converted to protein either. What you really want to do is lose some fat and increase your muscle mass. Now that we got the physiology out of the way, biking is a good option. Cardio of any type will burn calories and help you to lose wieght. You are still young, so don't worry to much about winning any bodybuilding competitions soon, just focus on getting down to a healthy weight first. Then worry about the muscle mass.

fat doesn't turn into muscle. fat is fat and muscle is muscle. but you can eat a healthy diet, do some strength training to gain muscle and cardio to lose fat. you don't need equipment to run outside. or you could even just walk briskly around the neighborhood. a mile every day or two would probably do a lot of good.

Ride the mountain bike. Believe me, you can get in incredible shape using just that one piece of equipment. When I'm not forced indoors by the weather (like now), I put more than 200 miles a week on mine.

Also, what about facilities at your school? Aren't those available to you?

Hey get on that mountain bike and pedal and use the 40.00 to buy water. Keep your self hydrated. The dumbells can be used to help you tone up. Remember Poverty has nothing to do with being overweight.
