Me and my boyfriend have been dating for awhile but there is one problem He is 8 hours away at college and lives up there so i barely see him. The only time i see him is if I go to him for a weekend and he goes to me for a weekend. I love him to death but i don't know what to do. We talk on the phone at night and e-mail during the day. We are strong enough for having a long distance relationship but im starting to have second thoughts. Is that right? I don't know what to do.

Are you telling us everything? Perhaps you're looking at the menu? Do other guys approach you? You're mind racing a million miles a second? Thinking about sex too much?

Come on, be honest...

If the latter is true... Then talk to him, dont assume. Right now he is concentrating on his school work. Is he on a scholarship? Grants? Loans? Must he make good grades?

Think of the full picture here. He is attempting to better his life... Why not wait for him... This can prove your loyalty. This can also prove his loyalty to you.

At best, he graduates... Gets a decent job, and takes you with him. You two can get married... Have a few kids...

And then you can split on him, take the kids, take everything he has, slam him in debt(oh don't worry, creditors will only persue men from post matramony), and the family courts will reward you abundantly. Its the ultra-fem way of total "women's lib". Trust me, they will come... Yeah, who cares of this all pyschologically damages your kids... Its for their best interest... Even the family courts will say so.

Oops..... I cant predict the future..... but according to nat'l stats? Its exactly what happends.

If you are having second thoughts then you need to follow your conscience. Usually our gut instinct is correct. This may not be your "forever" relationship. That's okay. Why not suggest to your boyfriend that you two casually date others while you are separated just to have some friends to do things with. If your relationship is really meant to be it will still be there when you two can get back together again. If not it wasn't meant to be. Good luck and God Bless.

What are your 2nd thoughts about? Did he ask you to marry him? Or are you just tired of the long distance? If, as you say, you love him to death, then are you willing to go be with him? Or are you willing to hang on until you can be together? If not, drop him now and let him get on with his life while you get on with yours. Good luck!!

If you really like this guy and you are both serious, tough it out. Trust me, the perfect guy is hard to come by and once you've got one, don't let anything get in the way. He can only be in college for so long, you know.

its normal to feel this way. being away makes it harder for couples... if you feel strong enough to have this long distance relationship, you shouldn't have second thoughts unless you met someone closer and gives you what you want... be true to yourself and talk to your BF about how you feel... you never know he may feel the same way... but at least if things don't work out, you guys talked about it and stay friends...

long distance relationships aren't easy. you need to figure out if this is where you want to be right now. it's natural to have second thoughts about your relationship. think about your feelings and let your boyfriend know how you feel and what's going on with you. also find out how he feels.
