I am assuming that you like to flat iron your hair everyday. Try a deep conditioning treatment or a trim. And try to use the flat iron at most once a week and if you insist try buying something to protect your hair.

you might be low on iron. this happened to my mom, and once she started taking iron it got really thick and beautiful. She also went to weight watchers and lost a bunch of weight and got into a healthier lifestyle with running a few days a week and walking every day. Now she's back to her old crappy lifestyle, gained back all the weight and then some, barely goes for walks anymore, doesn't take iron supliment and has thin scraggly hair again. Your hair and nails are a good indicator of your overall nutritional health.

if it's thinning out it may be your diet or a genetic problem. i've heard rosemary oils help when massaged onto the scalp and spread through the hair. and healthy doses of vitamins A, C and E are also helpful with thickening hair. to give the appearance of fuller hair, though, you can style it with mouse and blow dry it to give it more body and volume.
