Why does it seem necessary for some man (it's always a man) to make a claim that he saw a vision, in order for him to make his religion stronger?

MOST religions hang entirely on the presupposition that the person instumental in "directing" or "creating" that religion had the experience/vision they claimed they had!!!

Only some poor soul who desperately NEEDED or wanted to believe what the "visionary" claimed, would take such a thing seriously!

1. The vision of Paul on the road to Damascus(Christianity)
2. The LSD visions of St. John on Patmos (Christianity)
3. The schizophrenic visions of Mohammad (Islam)
4. The schizophrenic visions of Joseph Smith (Mormons)
5. The delusional vision of Moses (BurningBush) (Judaism)
6. The stress-induced, fantastic visions of Buddha (Buddha)
7. The many visions of the Virgin Mary (Catholicism)
8. The megalomaniacal visions of Jesse DuPlantis (Charismatic)
9. The desperate vision of Mary of the angel Gabriel (Christian)

Mary wasn't a man, but there's no doubt that she was schooled by Joseph, so she wouldn't get stoned.

Religion is NOT based on visions, it is based on faith and doctrine. Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and His Only Begotten Son, and that doesn't seem very schizophrenic to me. I take that very seriously, but don't have to be a "desperate, poor, soul" to do so. But why hate? Beleif isn't based on miracles, it is the other way around.

The Bible says: With out vision My people perish. also "write down the vision on tablets make it plain so those who run with it will know." So there is something to visions. I have had dreams about ministry. I know that if I continue to seek God's will for my life that these dreams/visions will come to pass. There are visions that are drug induced and schizophrenics see things as well. But there is no real credit given to them. But if the vision or dream is given by God then it will come true.

How was Muhammad's visions schizophrenic, that means paranoid and he didn't think andybody was out to get him. If he did, he would have spent his whole life and died in that cave. But in order to have a true religion that is ordained by God you would need a vision, if you didn't you wouild be a religious philosopher. However, there is no way to prove who had visions, who didn't and who was crazy.

Christianity is more deeply rooted than that. For instance the Bible was found. And people read it to have started believing it. In the bible God created the earth. So in other words he made the religion. No man did. And you don't just make a religion there is way more to it than that.

People take an inspiration of the Holy Spirit and pervert it to justify their own glory. There have been others who deliberately swayed innocent believers from the True Word. Now at this end time, there is too much confusion and too much selfishness. Many refuse to research their beliefs, because they unfortunately believe what they have been taught.

Every religion has something that someone will differ with.

God has a plan that's what is important. There is no religion that does not have a plan of atonement (personal or collective)
God appears in many forms. Does it have to be only my God?

Some vision is from lord or angle and some is from Satan.

Being sleep-deprived, drug-addled, or simply mentally ill is a characteristic that generates not only religious visions, but religion itself.

A moral life has NOTHING to do with religion; religion cloaks itself in morality as an excuse to exploit people.
