On easter at my church i will be baptised, have first communion, and will be confirmed. I've heard on people chossing names of saints as their confirmation name. Do I have to chose one?

No, you do not have to. We know that saints can be powerful intercessors. At confirmation we should pick the name of a saint who will inspire us to becoming a better Christian. In essence, you are calling on that saint to assist you with your purpose in life. Although some do not choose an additional name at Confirmation this should not be interpreted that the individual has not placed any importance in selecting an additional name at Confirmation. In not choosing a new name, it could be the individual is reaffirming the name given to him at Baptism and thus, not selecting a name, is very meaningful.

God bless,

Most people like to choose the name of a saint whose life they admire and find inspirational, a sort of "mentor". However, you can just use your given name if you don't want to choose another.

Confirmation is certainly in the Bible. In apostolic times the apostles, the first bishops of the Catholic Church, laid their hands on people, and they received the Holy Spirit. The bishops have been doing that ever since. That is the sacrament of Confirmation, instituted by Christ on Pentecost.
