Okay, lol.

People used to hunt because it was a source of food. Some people still do that. Some people hunt for the thrill of it. But I have found that they still hauled the carcass home and use it for food.

Civilization typically forgets it's roots. Morailty begins to be the focus on things that did not used to apply when dire need was the persuasion. The new morality begins to be accepoted as civilization sets into the culture that uses things of convenience to fill their lives. And those that practice the old ways are shunned as immoral, something that I see as being relative.

Also, to close, sometimes deer is hunted because the number of them exceeds the good of the forests. All the predators are eliminated by the 'civilized' and the herds become destructive to the environment. Hunting season provides balance. Without that balance, the deer themselves would destroy themselves, having eaten all their food they begin to starve to death.

I am a avid bow hunter for deer. I taught it to my wife and raised my children doing so. It is now a family event where we put everything aside and go to the camp. It is fun and good quality time sitting around the fire. We provide the majority of our families food from hunting, fishing, and gardening. I alson hunt small game and have recently started bear hunting.
Most people are not aware but due to starvation, getting hit by cars, wild animals etc. the average life span of a deer is only 7 years. Due to overpopulation in certain areas like parks, the government actually hires sharpshooters to kill off the deer and uses the meat at homeless shelters. In the Alleghanny mountains in PA., progressive insurance has been buying and releasing coyotes to kill the deer so that the insurance claims will be down. Without hunters many deer will still be killed and not always used. Now even though I hunt them, I also provide food for them. I have planted fruit and nut trees throughout my woods and buy corn to dump out there for them. I selectively hunt and do not just kill any deer.
I realize you probably think that they are too cute to kill and I agree they are cute but God made animals for us to eat. Get close to a young calf and look in those beautiful big brown eyes and see how cute they are, think of that when you bite into that cheeseburger or steak. Animals are lovely and they provide us with food, clothing, twine, tools, and companionship. it is only in todays sisified world that people don't understand killing animals. if you were raised years ago then it would of become a way of life and wouldn't bother you.

Also, without hunters and fishers and all the money they spend on liscenses and ammo taxes we would not have any of the national parks that we do. Who do you think pays for all that stuff ? Our money pays for fish hatcheries so fish reamin in the streams and lakes, it re-introduced wild turkeys to half of North America. Without the money of sportsmen you would see very quickly the wildlife that you so cherish disappear before your eyes.

Most of the people I know that hunt deer do it because they taste good. If no one hunted, the deer population would still get thinned out by disease, hunger, and cold. People have been hunting for a very long time to get food.

I hunt dear with either a bow or in a tree stand with a spear. I hunt for several reasons. One is the idea of me against it on a fair field. Another is that in my state I can donate the meat to orphanages or to people that are unfortunatly poor. And in hunting deer you help cull the herd making the herd stronger and growing helathier. In Missouri in 1906 there were approximately 600 deer in the entire state. Last year over 400,000 were harvested because of careful conversation of them.

It is a sport and past time. Just like some people pay pinball, some people read, some fish,I like to hunt. It takes lots of skill and practice. Deer are not so easy to hunt.

People hunt deer for sport and food. I personally like going hunting just to get away from city/suburban life. It's quiet out there in the woods alone, and you don't have to deal with annoying, pestering, loud people.

The deer are going to die someday no matter what people do. Which is better, a deer hit by a car and rotting by the side of the road (which damaged the car and probably injured the passengers), or a deer shot as humanely as possible by a hunter and which feeds the hunter, his family, and friends for several meals?

To be honest, when my children were little and money was tight, there daddy hunted so we could eat. We were too proud to ask our parents or the state for assistance.

Fast food?

I kid, I don't ever want to hunt, but it does seem more ethical than these huge farms of animals just bred to be eaten. Take no more than you can eat, you know?
