I asked a similar question a while ago and unfortunately many answerers did not get the point I am asking.

My question is very simple: Prophet Muhammed told a woman that a woman has less mind than a man. When the woman asked him about the reason he said that, he told her that the reason is because Islam consider a woman's testimony in a court as a HALF.

I am not asking why a woman testimony is considered HALF (although I would love to). I am asking whether this is he right explanation for why a woman's mind is less than a man.

For example, should I consider a non-educated man (who can hardly write his name) has more mind than a PhD woman just because prophet Muhammed said that?

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience...and if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for woman to speak in the church" (1 Corinthians 14:34-35)?

why christain women are not allowed to speak in churches?? why its a shame for them to speak in church??Aren't they wise and eligible enough to talk in church??

Here is the translation, less mind because women always follow their heart not their mind and the another one was less religion, because women pray only around 24 days and men full months because women get their period, so they are less to perform religion obligations... so if i said for example if i don't see you i will die, it doesn't mean that i am sick and i would really die its an expression, before i get to know Islam more i was so angry about the same thing but when i knew the explanation it made the difference, and in court 4 Women has to testify while 2 men are enough ,why,? because if one forgets something the other remember it, and why is that , women mind occupied with so many things children, house duties ext. so they are more to forget.

I admire you. You never stop going. Your chugging along.
While Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is very important, we Muslims follow the words coming from Allah. The Quran. There is nothing in the Quran that states that a woman's mind is half. Have a nice day.

That is not true but the reason he says that is because in islam women are pretty much forced to stay at home. Most parents wouldnt even stress education on their daughters. So in effect, they seem like they are half minded. This still goes on in many muslim dominated countries. Plus you have to take in consideration the time at which he said this. I am guessing woman had it a lot worse. Its not a good thing but I guess thats how their life is.

Where on earth did you hear or read that? The prophet NEVER said that a woman's mind is less than a man.

This was at a different time man, women then did not recieve much education. I am Muslim, and would beg to differ on this issue, as I know some very smart girls. More than 60% of my University is Girls! I have to do some research into this, but I would it was because the women were much simpler, than nowadays.

God knows best

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) didn't say anything like that.
Sunnis say that but they say lots of other stuff about the Prophet which is not true!
