In America we listen to them preach, if they go against the bible, we reject them. We have freedom of religion and can pick the church, TV program or radio station we want to listen to. If a preacher or priest if charged with a crime, it is the responsibility of the people to bring it to trial and allow justice to be done. Some have sinned, been convicted and paid their price to society. If a person does this and wants to come back to God and the service of the Lord, he or she should be able to. In the case of sexual abuse there should be some safe guards in place for an extended time, like 10 years maybe.

I think if our ears are more finely attuned, we would be able to detect insincerity from the very beginning of knowing them.....people are not skeptical enough ... and they let the
garments mislead them .... they must meet standards just like anyone else..... a vestment does not excuse them from that ...
I think the problem with this sort of situation which really belongs to the Catholic church is that they are not permitted to marry and that goes against the grain of some of them and their natural feelings become twisted and warped .... I wonder if there is such difficulty in the denominations which permit marriage of the clergy...

Ooh, ooh, I know! I know!
They're *never* trustworthy!
Anybody who would teach you outright lies as "truth," that wants you to believe things for which there is no evidence of any kind, and that tells you to ignore facts, reason, and logic in favor of myth and superstition...such a person is NEVER trustworthy.
We don't have to wait for them to reveal their hypocrital nature through being caught -- we can just assume they're not trustworthy right from the start! Easy!

Always skeptical. Based on their reasoning. I'd never let my child be alone with anyone - especially an older man - religion out the window.

I'd keep a close eye on them from the beginning, snake oil salesmen aren't the most trustworthy fellows.
