Never fails, between 1 and 3 pm I want to take a nap. Since I am at work this is not feasible... and there is no where I can go to nap :( - it doesn't seem to matter if I eat luch, breakfast, or go for a walk... the results are always the same... tired.

Other than downing a couple cups of coffee or shots of espresso, is there any way to combat this?

I've found that hydrating myself has help me. Just incorporating 2 or 3 more cups of water can help your body rum more smoothly, and keep it more energized throughout the day. Also, a healthy afternoon snack helps me too, so some trail mix, or an apple, some thing w/either carbs of protein usually gives a good boost. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Well most importantly, you want to be making sure that you have enough hours of sleep at night. I would say 8 to 10 hours. I used to have the same problem, but when I started going to sleep earlirer it was easier to wake up in the morning and I wasn't tired in the afternoon. Good luck.

go for a quick walk. watch what you eat for lunch. I notice at work people who eat big lunches like hamburgers and french fries get tired in the afternoon. But the ones who eat little lunches like soups or salads don't seem to get tired.
