My girlfriend wants me to claim her kids on her taxes.. I haven't done it yet, but she has sole custody and says she will go in and verify that she's giving me permission. I have lived with her for over a year and have provided for them kids for more than 7 months of that. Can I legally claim the children if they are not biologically mine if she gives me permission? Also if you do not know do you know what site would give me that information?

She can't give you permission. There are IRS rules you'd have to meet to claim a dependent, and in this case, you don't meet them. She can claim them, but you can't.

You say she wants you to claim her kids on her taxes. I'm not sure just what you mean by that. If you are preparing her tax return, then sure, she can claim them. But if you are talking about YOUR tax return, then no you can't, even if you had provided their total support ALL year.

you can claim her children as dependents if you provided more than half of their support through the year but you cannot receive earned income credit for them. you will be asked if the children are your..son daughter cousin niece nephew or other. you pick other.

No, only she can claim her children, or her childrens father can.
You could get in serious trouble for claiming her children. Tax fraud being only one example.

No.
1. As far as I know, you must legally adopt them before you can claim them as dependants.
2. You can however, claim daycare expenses.

No, you can't claim them unless you get married. Then you are good to go whether or not you adopt them or not.
