Perfect Crock Pot Rice:

2¾ hours 5 min prep
4 servings

1 cup rice
salt
2 cups water
butter

1. Rub your slow cooker lightly with 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.
2. Pour in rice, water and salt.
3. Cover and cook on High 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
4. Note: Up to 4 cups raw rice may be prepared in slow cooker making 10 cups cooked.

As you can see from the first post, it can be done but it takes a couple of hours!

If the main problem is scorching your rice, do it the way I do.
Instead of boiling the rice for the full time (12 to 15 minutes depending on what kind of rice you use) only boil it for about 5 minutes in a covered pan, than remove it from the heat and let it sit for about 20 minutes to half an hour.

When cooking it this way, use the rice / water ratio for cooking it covered.

Perfect rice every time!

put enough water to cover the rice and it should turn out nice

you can cook rice in ANYTHING, if it holds water, you can use it! Even a paper cup, believe it or not... but I would not suggest you try that indoors! :)
