hey atheists

if there was a pencil for example
then how was it created ....of course there must be an engine for it
and if it was a factory ...thin there must be an engine too
for the factory..!

or could it be made or created by evolutions like you say??

i mean i can't understand you...
you say that there is no god
and you say that you can't prove it..
and you say that life has been created by evolutions
and yet you can't prove anything..

okay thin what can you prove?

Why do people like you think that the burden of proof is on the non-believer? Your outrageous claims require outrageous proof, of which, not once ounce has been produced YET.

And if there is a God, then there must be an "engine" for it, right?

The existence of a Creator would prove that a Creator is unnecessary and even impossible in many situations. This very complex Creator did not require a Creator, so why would anything else? The characteristics of the Creator and the world into which it was spawned (or always existed) were not created by the Creator. I don't think that leaves much else to create and it shows that none of it needed a Creator anyway.

Think about it. This is why I see no reason to believe in a Creator.

Your question makes very little if any sense at all. What are you trying to ask? If a pencil can be the product of thousands of years of natural selection and evolution? Great analogy, yeah..
No, but currently living things can. We evolve and grow and adapt every day, and have since the beginning of time.
And for Pete's sake PLEASE knock it off with the "Prove God doesnt exist- Well, prove he does" argument, it is at this point stupid. Did it ever enter your mind that maybe you're both right? Maybe the creator in her infinate wisdom said "Hey- this universe I'm creating is going to need to be able to adapt and grow like the planet itself does." That maybe Genesis is a metaphor for evolution, and the creation of the world. The bible is known for metaphors.

Also, just to give the Christians a bit of credit here- there is tons of evidence of a global flood. It was the result- it's believed- of a massive meteor strike in the atlantic, which caused an axial shift, and massive tidal waves that caused massive extinctions of hundreds of species. It's in myths all over the globe, from every culture. Most notably the hebrew, and greek mythology. It inundated athens, and wiped the city out completely, nearly wiped out the cro-magnon man, and helped to end the last ice age at the end of the paleolithic era.

And all hail the Pastafarians on this forum.

If you argue both sides strictly from the standpoint of creation, neither side has any evidence what-so-ever. Logically the origins left no signs of origin we'll ever be able to conclusively descern. The argument against a divine all-loving, all-powerful, omnipresent being can readily be argued down with no evidence at all. Especially when every religion claims God is the "creator of all", but somehow magically evil popped out. That sentence make sense to you? Would you like me to provide evidence for the sentences: God created all. Evil and sufferring abound. ?

So, I assume you believe an invisible guy made the pencil instead of a man in a physical form? If the pencil is being refined, that's a form of evolving the pencil. Technology has been refined multiple times, I consider that "the evolution of technology".
I claim there is no God because you claim there are no God(s). Why do you believe your religion is correct while others are not, Is it just because you inherited it? Likewise, I dont understand.

You know nothing about evolution. First, evolution DOES NOT deal with how life came into being, but only how life changes over time to adapt to the environment. Evolution is supported by about 150 years worth of scientific data, and is the best explanation for the diversity of life forms that exist on earth.

No one (not even religious people) knows how the first single celled organism came into being, but there are many hypotheses (some more far-fetched than others). What evolution explains is how that original single celled organism reproduced and, over time, some of them formed colonies that started working together. This gave rise to the first multi celled organism, which is hypothesized to be a sort of sea sponge. From this common ancestor evolved other life forms, some of which survived and continued to evolve, and others who went extinct. So, we didn't come from monkeys, as the ignorant among us like to say, but humans and monkeys have a common ancestor. We're cousins, and the fact that we share 96-98% of our DNA with them confirms this.

Through the mechanism of natural selection, species that failed to adapt to changing conditions went extinct, while the ones that didn't were able to pass on their genes to the next generation. Eventually, humans evolved and developed a more advanced brain, one capable of thinking differently than any other life form on earth. Early humans became inventive and creative, and took full advantage of the brains they had developed. This was the key to our survival.

There is plenty of scientific to support this, and it is readily available if you would only take the time to learn, but you wont. You and most religious believers are unwilling to accept or even acknowledge anything that even has the possibility of contradicting your beliefs, and I think that's very sad.

We can't prove there is no god. Can you prove there is a god? I thinketh not. But if you can, by all means, go ahead. I'm all ears.
Evolution is science. We did not find it in some book written thousands of years ago and claim it to be fact (i.e. ....the bible).
And let's just say that there is a God who created everything. Well what created God? Kthanks.

You say you don't understand US, but honestly I find YOUR beliefs to be unequivically incredulous. There is zero logic involved.

We can't prove that a possible deity does not exist.

What has been proven.

-The Human race is older than 6-12k years old.
-There was no global flood.
-The macro-evolution of species does occur, as can be seen by the countless transitional forms and partial forms we now have.

So in short, a deity, no that can not be disproven. Organized religion, the academic community has already moved on.

The burden of proof is not on us. Everyone is born an atheist. (Including you.) You need to be TAUGHT to believe in a God. There are literally thousands of gods out there to choose from, and the one you wind up believing in is simply based on who you are born to, and who is teaching you.

There's a quote from Stephen F. Roberts that says:
"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."

The only thing that is a THEORY is that there IS a God. It's a theory because it is not the natural state of being. Atheism is the natural state of being. Now it is up to the believer to prove his/her theory that not only IS there a God, but that his/her God is the right ONE.

Poor little, tiny, intellect....

Of course evolution produced the pencil!

All of the ingredients for pencils, water, DNA, you, me, and LIFE are here on this planet and always have been.

You can't understand it right now, but there's this thing called an "education" that you can get.

Get it and study "Microbiology" and "Virology" and you can get to see bonafide evolution take place right before your eyes!

It's like the magic of Jesus, only REAL!

A pencil couldn't evolve, because a pencil cannot reproduce and thus pass on genetic information to offspring. Reproduction is essential to evolutionary theory. I suggest you read up on it--there is astronomical evidence in support of it. (Proof is for mathematics, evidence is for science and pretty much everything else.)

The burden of proof lies with theists in discussions of an existence of a deity. I cannot and don't have to prove that something doesn't exist if you haven't proven that it does. If I said, "I have Zeus tied up in my bathtub," I would have to give evidence to support that. Until I did, you would be on logically solid ground by saying "I don't believe you." You wouldn't have to provide evidence that I was wrong. That's how it works.
