My mother passed away on 10-22-05 and was a breast and bone cancer patient. I am always looking for ways to honor her memory and like to donate to cancer foundations. I found this one and thought it was pretty cool idea. Please post any others here.

Susan Kommen's organization is excellent. American Cancer society is always a good choice too. Those organizations do work with each other.

If you wish to honour your Mother and help other breast cancer patients or any cancer patients, and prevent yourself ever getting cancer - see that you always have the best nutrition. Cancer is a nutritional deficiency disease. A body heals itself given the right nutrition. Minerals and vitamins in addition to the best organic food you can afford. Do not eat junk, Do not smoke, do select personal care products free of Sodium Laureth Sulphate and Propylene Glycol, to mention just two of the many harmful ingredients in shampoos, showergels and TOOTHPASTE. Avoid anything containing Fluoride. And read the books that are available about the subject. "How to fight Cancer and Win"
"Cancer - why are we still dying to know the truth?" Many people are curing themselves with natural products, many people are preventing ever getting cancer.

Milk is one food that should be avoided, sugar is another.

Invest in your own health and spread the word. It was already possible to cure cancer more than 50 years ago.

A cancer patient has to research for themselves what to do and then treat themselves.

That IS a cool idea! You could keep growing your hair real long, cutting it and donating it to locks of love for CA pts. You don't have to shave your head, or even cut it real short. You could go chin or shoulder length. Prenatal vitamins or a vitamin called biotin helps your hair grow faster. What someone else wrote about nutrition and prevention is good too.
