Rumi Meaning

The most famous Rumi is Jalal u din Rumi. A Persian mystic poet. He has been translated in major languages. He belonged to the area now in Turkey. In old days it was called Byzantine Roman Empire. Persons from that area were called Rumi for short. No links with Rome of Italy. Rumi means a thing or a person from Byzantine Rome, whose capital was Constantinople (now named Istanbul). Rumi is not a word with any other meaning. Just as London is meaningless word but the name of a place. Having said all this, pl. ask your librarian for books by or on Rumi the great poet and read for fascinating pleasure. It is mystical.

Well I don’t have a problem with your name, and I understand it better now, but surely there was no way for us to just have looked at your name and automatically associated it with: -punk -rocker/rakiztah -and 15 is for December 15 that my b-day How were we supposed to guess/decipher that? But now that I know... I will know, so you can keep it that way if you want. If not, I think three cheers for sweet revenge sounds cool (like a music band I would like or something... Ha Ha! despite it being a little long). But as you can see from my answer, long is not a problem for me. Cheers!
