I don't think it is a question of harshness on your part. You simply do not know that there are many people in the world who
are in touch with God. You should not be so judgmental of others. We all are different and something that is natural to your friend may not be natural to you. That is just as true of someone who has great skills at making pie crust and maybe you don't. You can't just say she is crazy because she makes great pie crust.
And yet, the minute the subject of God, the minute the subject of voices enters the conversation, the fur flies! How simply terrible!
What do such people know of God? Did we not receive instructions many times to love each other? I think I recall something of the sort!!!

The trouble is that people hear snide and nasty remarks about people who hear voices, people who say they are talking to God, or that God speaks with them. then they rush off and mimic the same nasty snide remarks and feel very smug that they are right, and they make fun of others. That is not what we were told to do.
Unless you really know, unless you are sure of your grounds, you have absolutely no business making any remark at all!!!!!

Remember the Ten Commandments?
Well, it was not done through a telegram. God spoke and Moses listened, and took down the message. Would you call a van for Moses? I don't think so, would you? You see, people are very intolerant and very prejudiced and very ignorant at the same time.
It is a shame. We should be more careful, lest we look like fools ourselves.

Peace & Love

It's not always an audible voice. Sometimes it's a voice in her head. It's perfectly normal--I am a Christian, I talk to God, and God answers me. Not always a voice out loud, or in my head, but he may answer in something that happens in my life at that time. Like when my life was totally in pieces, and I felt so unconnected from him, I was reading my Bible one day and I found the verse 1 Peter 5:7-until the end of the chapter. Wow! That totally changed my life.

The voice is a feeling
You know when your around someone you love very much. I mean with ALL of your heart like your child, You have a sense of what they are trying to tell you without them saying a word
It's kind of like that

I think it would be more upsetting to worship a god that is silent. In the mind of Christians, God speaks in many ways. God speaks through other people, God speaks through scripture, music, and even nature. What you may consider weird is simply something that you do not understand. I may think it's weird when someone wears shorts and a long-sleeved shirt, but to the person doing it, it may make perfect sense. Keep in mind, what is in one person's realm of understanding may not be in your own. No matter what, the main point is that she's your friend, and what she does to practice her faith shouldn't affect that.

I doubt she actually hears voices but rather has a sence of peace or unrest when she is asking God to help in certain things

God speaks to us in many ways; in our thoughts, through the Bible, through other people, and yes, some have even heard His voice.

God bless,

Christianity is about having a relationship with God. When you have a relation with someone, its just normal for you to communicate and have fellowship with Him.

If someone is not talking/communicating with his wife/girlfriend/family members....etc....does he have a relationship with them???

God does communicate with us via our spirit, via men and women of Christ and via our dreams.Yes it's normal. But if you know the word of God,then you should scrutinize what she says to see if it lines up with the word of God
