i agree with others go get it checked out. it could simply be muscular, but it will take a simple cardiogram to be certain its not heart related, its painless unless you count the sticky stuff they use to stick the monitors on you and its not a problem its quick and you will have your mind put at rest very quickly. i cant count the number of times i have worried myself silly over something only to discover it was not what i thought it was at all.

Chiropractor, massage therapist and info in the book (bottom)

Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

This is not related to your head cold. This could be signs of a heart attack. Get yourself to a hospital ER immediately. If you do not have anyone to drive you (don't drive yourself) then call an ambulance. Better safe than sorry and you are exhibiting signs that indicate heart problems.
Don't delay....this is not something to fool around with.

Does the pain feel like a tight band crushing around your chest? if so this would be indicative of a heart attack, however if it were a heart attack the pain wouldnt go away, but check it out regardless, common sense really

I don't want to alarm you, but cardiac (heart) pain can radiate to all sorts of places you wouldn't expect: left arm, jaw, back... and naturally the chest. I would get to my doctor Right Away if I were you, if not to an emergency room or walk-in clinic.

Well, if if was me, I would already be at the hospital being checked out. It is the only reasonable thing to do. Both are signs of heart attack.
