There are several utilities hidden that run in the run box:
1. msconfig it is often used to eliminate some programs that start up automatically.
2. cmd opens a command prompt.
3. regedit opens the registry editor
4. chkdsk /f fixes errors on hard drive.

Go into your Start menu and then to accesories then you should have a C:\ Command Prompt in there if not go to start and then to run and then type in C:\ Command Prompt and you should be able to find it in there as well. You also have a internet connetion in there called Telnet. I use that for a chat I go to all the time called Resort. I can go to Resort through the internet Explorer as well and it takes me to a C:\ Prompt mode.

I hope that helps Better then what I saw other say.

It is not any application but services provided by Microsoft in their OS (operating system). For example you see in MSCONFIG from run start up or services etc. Never confuse about this.

other than the ones just listed, "cmd" gives you an emulated DOS prompt.

What do you want this program you are referring to for?
