I think the best way to get a bf is to not look for one. It always seems that when you are not looking it will come to you. Remember that if you want to find love, rejection and hurt are tied into finding that special someone. In most cases you won't find the love of your life right off the bat. You will have many relationships and some of them must end and usually you will hurt. Make yourself seen, but don't act like you like that person, because playing hard to get always seems to be the best way to make someone want you. Let people classify you anyway they want to because your feelings should not rely on what someone else thinks. What you know about yourself is the only thing that really matters. You must be confident with yourself in order for others to feel that way about you. Good Luck

Do you have guy friends? Start hanging out with them more often. You might find out that you like a friend more than just a friend. Or you will meet one of their friends and want to date them. Or you might just get more comfortable around the opposite sex. Don't be scared. Be confident! Don't take it too seriously either. Relationships shouldn't be serious until you get out of high school anyway. Focus on what is important right now...your education! And it's not desperate to agree to go on a date. Have fun and enjoy being young.

Well fear of rejection is normal....however it is also a process in life that you will have to go through someday. It's just part of growing up and learning about yourself and relationships. I'd say be strong and don't think negative. Have fun and enjoy dating for what it is, because that's the most important thing....to have fun! Also, life isn't just about dating...enjoy being single too..you are only young once...so be sure you learn about yourself before you jump into something you may not be able to handle! Goodluck!

I have gotten my heart broken so many times, yet I've still put myself out there. When the timing is right, someone will come along. Just be patient and Mr. Right will show up at your door, or anywhere when It's menat to be. Until then just have fun.

Don't think of it as dating yet. Think about it as hanging out or doing something with a friend. That way, when someone asks you, you can say ok without feeling any pressure.
