Depends on what u mean by thicker.
If hair is thinning there is a potential solution, sorry its long.:
Effective treatment has to be both from inside & outside
Inside:
Anti-oxidants:
Vitamin C & vitamin E along with unsaturated oil. Best is Sunflower seeds (50-100ml per day) together with 1000mg of vitamin C twice a day. Care must be taken to increase water intake if you are not used to this level of vitamin C. A small amount of Magnesium sulphate (Epsom Salts) is also needed ~200mg- the size of a very small old aspirin tablet.
Zinc is also very important, but you will get enough from the sunflower seeds as they are the highest natural source of Zinc I have found, their vitamin E level is also good.
Hormones:
Care must be taken to decrease consumption of meat that may have had hormone stimulation to encourage growth, this is particularly present in some Chickens, but may also be present in beef (especially young animals) and Lambs. It is not usually present in pork, mutton, Cornish hens, large old beef carcases, & fish.
Health eating:
It is vital to increase fresh fruit & vegetable consumption to as high as possible, but at least 5 portions a day.
Lecithin:
Additional lecithin is also indicated as it improves blood circulation, and removal of debris clogging veins & arteries. Start at a level teaspoon a day & work up to a heaped desert spoon a day over ~ 30 days. A heaped desert spoon a day is a good maintenance level.
Exercise
In addition it is necessary to have a stimulation of the circulation. To this end one should exercise 3 or more times a week, ensuring that the heart rate stays >100 continuously for at least 15 minutes- viz. striding up a long hill.

Outside:
The hair ideally needs washing at least 3 times a week and stimulating 6 times.
Washing: any good shampoo, one wash, dry then rub in the olive oil & d-limonene and brush the scalp firmly to stimulate the scalp for >3minutes. Wrap hair in towel & keep warm for at least an hour (ideally 2), Then give the hair a light shampoo again, and once dry add 6-10 drops of Rosemary oil directly onto the most effected area. Brush the scalp again for >3minutes. This process can be done when you come in & then before you go to bed, or before you go to bed & then in the morning. I tend to prefer the former as the Rosemary has a fairly strong aroma, & once you have slept overnight the aroma level is lower and more easily masked if you do not like it, but you need to accept it if you want the cure, otherwise you can lightly wash you hair in the morning, trying not to wash the Rosemary oil out of the scalp.

You can't change genetics and your hair is only as dense as you have follicles on your head. Treated your hair with chemicals will increase the damage done. Keep it trimmed to keep breakage to a minimum. You can try biotin to strengthen you hair, but it will grow at the same rate.

take a good multi vitamin high in the b complex..
their are clubs you can join that will promote a full head of hair but this would cost you a lot of money
see a dermatologist as they have injections and methods that would be more affordable..this sounds cosmetic so be prepared to foot the whole bill yourself

yes.

dont' wash your hair for a week. Put moose on the scalp. You can wet it and you can style it...but don't wash it.

2 weeks would help it much more.
if you can handle that

and no hats... sorry.

naturally, you need to use a coconut oil on your hair and cover it with a clean towel before going to sleep. because coconut oil has a natural subtance that thickens & shines our hair.
