yes all the time...
love is over rated, as a word i mean, you can have feelings for someone, and these feelings vary from one to another, they could be compassion, desire, enjoyment and so forth...
i mean you would be or think that you are in LOVE with someone, and the second day something happens and he or you fall out of love, just like that... it shows that all that so called love was fake in a way!
so call the feelings you have for someone by their names, because the word love could mean different things in each of our personal dictionaries...

The existance of love being fake, no. Love with a certain person can be fake.
Example: It was my first relationship. Things got rocky after a year, and I didn't see the warning signs. We both, for the last year and a half, were just in it for convenience. He was suddenly annoyed by things he used to think were cute, and always said that he felt "obligated" to do stuff because he was my boyfriend. I say that over 1/2 of the time we were together was fake, because we were too content being with someone (anyone) that it became a comfort zone, being with someone, that we didn't want to leave that comfort zone. Still, no feeling was really there, it was just going through the motions. Love that is fake.

fake might be the wrong word for it but since i'm on my 3rd marriage, both the first 2 ending in divorce, i tend to give love the key phrase of being rushed into on a regular basis by more than just me. think of a relationship as a contract. before getting into one do a little research to find out about the other parties habits, life style, temper, health issues, family standing, religuous beliefes, emotional wellbeing, and just the type of person he is. too much info in this situation will never be enough.

No.
Most people confuse hormones with love is the real problem. It takes about a year for the hormones to run their course, if you still feel the same then you really were in love to begin with.
Probably the best reason not to jump into any permanent entanglements with a new boy/girlfriend during the first year of a relationship.

In my opinion there are both.
Sometimes love can be fake just going through the motions of what is expected.
But true love is messured by what sacrifices both parties are willing to give.
I have had true love, that I would do anything for,and she would have done anything for me.
The only thing that could part us was her death.
So if you look for true love don't ask what you can get as what you can give.

there's like, love and lust ... Sometimes we confuse terms. Love isn't just the butterflies we get the first days or the need of kissing their lips and melt in their arms, it's craving for that person 24h, wanting to share everything with them and know all about them. It's the innocent blush in your cheeks and long walks hand in hand. We feel love is fake when the innocence perishes ...

Not since I have truly been in love. sure, I sometimes feel it will never come again, but fake? no, never. My heart can not have been that much inflated if it had been fake. If it had been fake I would not still yearn for it back... Love is definitely not fake.

Yes. Love is fake and it is easy to fake. It is just a word or a thought to a lot of people. ~True love is a fairy tale.~ BTW, this only pertains to dating/marriage...My soon to be ex-husband played me since the beginning, it just took me too long to realize that he never truly loved me.
**The only love that is real is love for your family. I love my son more than anything in the world, and that could never be faked.**

There is nothing fake about love. If you feel that it is fake then it is "infatuation". Love is love at all times just like it says in the bible. 1st corinthians 13.
