Wash and straighten your hair every other day. If your hair is still straight the next day, there is no need to use your straightening iron, but you can still do touch ups.

doing so everyday probably isn't the greatest idea. it would be better if you used the blowdryer to make it straight & on the second day use the flat iron. ceramic straighteners are better for you hair than any other kinds. avoid putting the heat on one spot for two long. there's a product by TIGI called flat iron shine spray that works well.

If you want to straighten your hair everyday you should actually protect it with a hair spray or moose. Trim the ends every 6 weeks. And look after your hair, by treating it to hot oil or conditioning and steaming at least every month. Your hair should be fine.
However try doing other hairstyles instead of being totally dependent on hair straightners. If you get stuck on ideas try here, I use it when I dont know what to do with my hair...http://www.seventeen.com/beauty/hairguide/0,,,00.html
Being natural and wavy can be very beautiful and in fashion.

If you straighten your hair daily, it could definately make your hair less healthy - causing split ends, and dry hair. The bes thing to do is get a protective hair product to put in your hair before your straighten it. I use a hairspray that is specifically designed for straightening hair - and it keeps your hair healthy.

Straightening your hair daily can damage it. If it doesn't get oily, I'd do it every two days.
Don't use a cheap straightener. Use one with a plate, just like the hairdressers do. An all metal one (like one you'd buy for $40) will really damage your hair. A good one will cost you over $100. There are products to use on your hair to moisten it and keep it from getting damaged from straightening...see your Hairdresser for advice.

yes, no matter what kind of straightener you have it will dry your hair out. if you condition the ends good with a repairing and conditioning treatment every other day or so your hair will be fine. i still wouldn't straighten it everyday. it is very unhealthy. i would stick to straightening it every other day.

Nah, you can do it everyday. Just make sure you get your hair trimmed regularly. Every 4-6 weeks.
