If it strikes then we will experience a persecution of christians like what happened in the Dark Ages. Only those who have chosen Christ and stood fast to Him will be able to stand. By the way that will also mean we'll have a very very short time on earth and then our Christ whom we have waited for so long will come and take us home. However ONLY those who will stand against the National (International) Sunday Law will be able to stand. Are you ready?

Sheesh..that took some looking. A national Sunday law is not going to happen. After I finally found out what your question was about, a law like that would be unconstitutional.
The closest thing to a Sunday law in this country was the era of 'Blue Laws' which prohibited or limited the sale of certain products on Sundays. These 'Blue Laws' were never national in aspect and for the most part, do not exist in 2007.

So, yes, I am ready.
BTW, which day _is_ the sabbath? As far as I know, there was no calendar during the creation period. Do _you_ know on which day God rested? Which day _was_ the seventh day?

Any law like that would affect the jewish people...and that ain't happening in the US I can tell you that. After all the hooplah made about past persecutions of the Jewish people, passing a National Sundfay Law would be the ultimate in hypocracy and even the current regime in the US won't go THAT far. Besides, because of the religious implications, such a law would cross lines that, again, the current regime is not yet ready to cross...maybe after 2 or three more elections that could change...but that is 8 or 12 years away. I'm not concerned with it at this point....but I certainly won't support it.

Details please! Nothing is pending until a bill is actually introduced into congress. Who is sponsoring this bill? What is its number? What exactly is in this bill? If you're talking about Jan Marcussen's ravings, don't forget that the First Amendment prohibits the establishment of any religion. The only reason that would be imperiled would be because so-called Christians are trying to establish a theocracy in the USA.

You seem to be defining "Christians" very narrowly, apparently only "Christians" who worship God on Saturday count. Is that truly your only criterion? Is God so petty? No one is going to tell you which days to worship or not worship, because no one else cares about it like you do. Paranoia is not an attractive trait for a Christian.

Tell me something, zidane. How long do you expect this Sunday Law to pend? I read a book called "National Sunday Law" in 1989. And it had probably been written sometime before that (I didn't check the copyright date). So I'm thinking that there has been adequate time to pass a "National Sunday Law".

I have heard of this many times. It's not like this is a new fear.

Anyway, you do realize that it would require a major change to the Constitution, right?

The Constitution provides that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion; or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

So therefore, not gonna happen.
