Sad but true. I was hit by a car walking home from school. I was waiting to cross the road and this guy came along was playing with his radio, ran off the road and hit me. He too tried to run, however it was a bust street, and he didn't get to far. The cops tried to say I was standing in the road, even though there was more then enough witnesses to the contrary, all they gave the guy was a speeding ticket for speeding through a school zone. Dispute it now, because if there are medical bills to be payed, there insurance company will try to refuse to pay by saying it is your fault, also get a lawyer.

unless there was a red light camera or other camera that showed you running a light then you should be ok.
even if you did walk agaist the light . a green light does not mean go . it means go with caution if the way is clear. if your in the middle of the road then the way is not clear. so they to ran a light.
if you think they are connect to the police i suggest you make a complaint to the police investagion board and contact a lawyer.
now if you were doing this to some how commit an insurance fruad then back off. if not then go for it . as far as i am concerned if someone anyone a car a person a dog a cow is on the road then i have to be able to stop. i drive a truck and have never had a collision on the road and i have had lots of things come out at me . so good luck .

Find out what they were charged with, if there were injuries to you then that would enhance the charge, HOWEVER if you committed a violation i.e walked against the light outside of a crosswalk or against the do not walk sign then you can be liable for that however If the other party was arrested find out what they are charged with and then you will have to go to court and face the charge of your end of it and I'm sure you will be called to testify in the case brought against the other party and in the event that you think that the police department is being biased then take that up with their internal affairs or office of professional standards and lodge a complaint with them and then if you are not satisfied with the conclusions of that investigation then you can proceed to take the apprioperate actions in court.

You shouldn't run across the road. It is sad that you got a ticket..but you may as well pay it.
A guy I knew came out of a club after a radio show and stepped off the curb by accident and was hit by a car and the cop put his ticket on his chest on the stretcher.

I was a pedestrian and was hit by a car, they took off and were apprehended by police?
------
If you were a pedestrian, you shouldn't really be ticketed, although you disobeyed the law by going across the street inappropriately, so I cn see why they'd ticket you.
