use a Free software called Super Encoder. It can convert among most of the available formats

theres several ways ... u could try super to convert to somthing like mpeg or avi ... or u could get the ffdshow codec and it may make the mp4 render in movie maker ...

You need to convert the to AVI for example, Dr Divx is freeware for it
