Why try to do your best when “good enough” will work? Why get an ‘A’ when a low C will get you into the next grade? Why be honest when white lies may never be discovered? Why be faithful if you may never get caught? It is you basic morals – do what you can, do what you think you can, or do nothing – it is your choice.

It depends on what type of "perfect" you are talking about. If you are referring to being the best you can possibly be, of course that is a good thing-- it will drive you to improve in all aspects of your life-- but if it is something like physical beauty, then you are right... but not because we will never be "perfect." In the long run, there are WAY more important things to worry over than physical beauty, and so you should remember that and next time you agonize over your makeup, make a trip to the local homeless shelter or orphanage to volunteer instead. Instead of perfecting our own lives, sometimes we need to take the time to improve someone else's-- and helping others, to selflessly touch a life other than your own, is what makes a life truly "perfect."

I don't try to live perfect. I just try to be the best person that I can be. I'm not always right and I don't always do the right thing but I do try not to hurt others and try to pass on happiness. Nothing more I can do than that.

Rather than trying so hard, just live by the simple rule of do unto others as you would have done to you. Whether you are religious or not this rule will never fail you.

Not only will it keep you from hurting others, but it will make other people treat you much nicer.

Take care,
Troy

Who said you have to be perfect? Are you trying to live up to someone else's standards? Trust me, you'll be 'performing' all your life. There are good free or low cost counselling agencies in your area. I suggest you find one.

We try because that's what we're suppose to do. Be kind, considerate, help others......but perfection? It's impossible, so stop trying. There was ony One perfect person.

I dont think you have to live perfect who can but your not suppose to sin and do things you know is wrong..

Dont take and run with the excuse I cant be perfect so I will do what I want thats a bad way about going about it.

I don't try to be perfect. Must be that I'm older now and don't care what most people think. I just try to stay positive and be happy. Find beauty in things.

I've never bothered to try to be perfect. If people don't like you for who you are then they are the ones that lose out.

My God I can certainly understand that! Its like people expect you to live this unliveable life and fulfill this unfulfillable dream. Only advice I can give you is its not about who the world wants you to be its about who you become despite the world or within the world.

We try becoz we are always trying to please others.. Our self-boosting ego causes to always search for the perfection even though know that we cannot physically or emotionally achieve that level of perfection...

So there's no use of trying to be perfect when you know you cannot..People will like you the way you are, no matter who you are, where you are from, what your religion is..etc
