Where do animals go when they die? Do they go to heaven? This was a question posed to me by my CCD students. Thank you for your responses.

not a priest but am an Ordained executive Pastor, animals do not have souls therefore will not be in heaven,. simply their bodies will be buried and there they will remain...

People have different takes on it... some say that beloved pets will be with them in heaven... others say they have no soul and will no longer exist once they die. But, me, being human, cannot answer and know for sure it is correct either way. If it isnt in the bible, tell the kids that they need to read the word, and find the answer for themselves, asking God to guide them in their search for the answer. This is a good thing to teach any child that is searching for Truth in the Word.... seek in the Word, not of man, and God will give you answers!

See also Ecc. 3:19,20...and they are all returning to the dust.

I am born a Jew and went to Charismatic Catholic and prayed the prayer -Jesus come into my heart, I am sorry for my sins, help me and be my friend, amen--from their scriptures Revelation 3:19&20 to repent to him as he loves each of us and asks us to, and let him into our heart to be our friend and help us, amen.
all good things go to heaven-Jesus returns in Revelation on a horse-so animals that were put here to be a help to man-will be in heaven-make sure you pray that prayer so you will be going too. then the bible makes better sense too-its Jesus love story to our heart-start in the book of John -and keep reading day by day and you wont go wrong.

They just die. Animals don't have souls, just like plants dont have souls. God gave man a soul.

Animals do have a soul. They will be reincarnated to whatever forms appropriate for their spiritual education after they died.
