No no, deep down some people really do buy into it. That's what scares me.

Sometimes people have doubts, but, Oh God, I think once a believer always a believer. Actually I believe that most people that claim to be atheists really aren't. So aren't we all really believers deep down inside? Atheists are believers deep down inside, just in case.

It's funny you should ask that. I always thought that deep down inside everyone believes in a hire power and just isn't quite sure who that power is. In the case of Atheists, it just seemed that pride alone kept them from taking that step toward God in faith. Perhaps I have been wrong all this time. Perhaps, there are those who just don't believe that there is a God... at all. That's unbelievably amazing!

I can't know that, because I can't know what everyone is feeling deep down inside. I can, however, say with some certainty that the type person you're describing does exist. There are those that call themselves theists out there who, deep down, who don't really believe, I'm sure of that. I'm also sure that there are those that call themselves atheist, but are equally untrue to what they say they believe. As for ratios... I wont try to speculate, because I don't have facts to back it up with, but I know what I think, from personal experience.

No, Deep down inside God has kept us alive via his gift of light/amp/wattage/voltage.
John 1v 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Gen 2v7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
You can deny these fundamental components of life and God/JESUS's relationship and defining word.
And then Jesus does the knock from the outside?
REV 3V
20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
He rose from the dead, and has that necessary spark and power only the creator has.. So he asks is anyone home? Can we have a supper of his words or is what inside you your own righteousness, self-glory speaking.

Yes, believing in what you know ain't true (The Bible) must be a very taxing suspension of disbelief...and just because our families or neighbours find it somehow cosy and traditional...well maybe, that's if you live in the desert in the Middle-East a couple thousand years ago! but otherwise it's not a good enough reason is it!

Your so far from right!!!!
Deep down inside all of us, its the opposite of what you claim!
Proof being that you are on here posting in a religous section. If there is no God, then why are you so worried about it? You should be on a section dealing in real tangible things!

If the authors of the Left Behind series really believed these were the last days, they wouldn't be living like rock stars and would redistribute their multimillion dollar empire and feed the poor etc etc etc

I cannot believe in a God, I have never believed in a God, and I've never needed to believe in a God.
I was brought up to be a skeptical atheist. I thank my parents for teaching me to question everything, even their authority.
BTW: I never fell for drugs or booze (though I consume vast quantities of the latter); never caught any STD's and haven't had too many rough-ups in my life.
So I guess my old folks raised me right.
