I think that one of the wonderful reasons people have children is to raise another wonderful, productive member of society.
I'm sure each one of these children will grow up to be a kind, empathetic, loving person... who will promptly grow up and form their own little mini-cults.
...and to comment on an answer above... I, too wonder what this guy does for a living, but did you also know that when you home school a child you get a little financial help? Multiply that by 17.

I don't know and I honestly I don't understand why any woman would want to put her body through so much stress over and over again. I applaud them for their amazing organization and money management, they claim to be debt free, so they have enough sense about them to know how to care for their family. But seriously, someone needs to tell that mom, in the nicest way possible, Honey it's a vagina, not a clown car.

I have nothing against someone having a large family cause my mama and papa had 21 kids together but those people act like they are in a cult especially the mom.

I hope not that poor woman needs a break she's been pregnant way to long. I think he knocks her up within minutes of delivery. Plus, I think they are running out of J names.

They are so cool! I'd love a family that big - but I have to admit, I would love to know what he does to be able to support a family that large!
