what did they "convert" from?
I speak in tongues and am proud to know the whole truth!

I'm Pentecostal and I speak in tongues and I wear jeans to church and cut my hair and do all the normal things I did before I got saved as far as dress goes and I eat out and go to movies and enjoy life.....the difference is that now I have a Savior and I have recognized I need a Savior and I now live my life the best I can to be pleasing to God and helpful to those around me..and when I fail I dont condemn myself , I simply trust in Gods forgivness and move forward......it is a good life when I chose to accept Jesus as Lord.....and I didn't convert from anything ...I was not in any type of religious atmosphere before I came to trust in God.

I would like to know this question myself. I have neighbors who converted and wow! Dresses, long hair, it certainly not for me. They tried to convert me and I basically told them that I don't believe that I am going to go to hell just because I wear pants and cut my hair.

I am a baptist.....I don't do the tongue thing. It's dangerous...it can be downright demonic when abused.
