Try to keep him up later....playing with him to wear him out more....take him outside to go potty right before bed....and more his cage out of your bedroom.....put a wind up clock near by.....and I cover the kennel at night so my puppy can't see what's going on around the room.....no reason you this puppy to be running your life.....as long as you continue to jump to his whinning...he's gonna keep whinning.....if he has gone potty right before bed....ignore his cries......there is nothing wrong with him.....he's just learned that if he cries...you'll get up.....No food or water for the pup at least 3 hours before bed...this will give him time to digest and relieve the last intake of the day...then there is no reason to get up....Also, the kennel shouldn't be more than 1 1/2 times the length of your puppy, and have plenty of room to stand up in.....if you have a large kennel...he will potty in it...but if it's small, like he is....he won't potty where he sleeps....

Ok pups at that age are going to cry. Putting him to bed for the night at 9 is very early for he both of you. Wake the pup up for the last potty call of the night at about 10:30pm or so and then put him down for the night at that point.
No puppy of 8 weeks old will hold it for overnight. Or will sleep that long. He'll settled down in a few weeks but not right away.

This is normal for such a young puppy. He may be hungry, thirsty or need to go to the bathroom. Puppies are used to being with their mother who takes care of their every need 24/7. You will probably have to get up for a few more weeks before he starts sleeping through the night. I get up for my 4 week old puppies all the time because their mother has lost interest.

Try placing an old clock that ticks in or next to his cage, it's soothing to them, also, make sure he does not need to use the restroom. Don't give in and let him sleep outside the cage if there is nothing wrong, or you will never get him to stop crying. He is just young and not used to his new environment. Also, try putting a sock in there that you have worn but don't care to have back, the smell of you will be soothing as well.... Patience is the virtue with puppies, but if you stick to your guns, he will get used to it and you will be able to sleep... it will not take long!

Before you go to bed, let the puppy out to use the restroom and maybe try giving him a stuffed animal to sleep with or a receiving blanket. So he's nice and warm. My dog a (min pin) has three blankets that she sleeps with and she has a dog bed in her cage. Dogs normally don't potty where they sleep so he may have to go. So you could also limit his water intake of an evening. Hope you get some sleep tonight. :)

What time do YOU go to sleep? Try playing with him just before YOU go to sleep, then take him out for a potty break, and yes, give him a soft stuffed animal in his crate to sleep with. And,,,,just AS you are putting him in his crate, praise him and reward him with a tiny treat. I do this every nite with my 2 yo Lhasa Apso, and he's quiet all night. Remember your dog is a PUPPY and yes, he's going to give you some problems for a while. He WILL respond to your careful, considerate and loving training, however, and be a good dog!! It just is gonna take a little time. Keep working with him. You be happy with the results, and realize your training made a difference.

Puppies are like human babies in some ways. Keep him up a little later when he wants to go to bed play with him tire him out. Keep this up for a week or to and you'll see a difference. Again pups are like babies when they get a little older say 12 weeks this type of thing stops most of the time by its self.

he will strengthen out of this, yet given which you cope with it in the superb suited way. in case you hold going to him every time he cries, he will learn that it particularly is how he receives your interest. It does not take very long for a canines to earnings this, and that is an somewhat puzzling difficulty to get a canines to 'unlearn'. you have 2 possibilities, particularly, and you'll be able to desire to nip this in the bud formerly that is going to become a much bigger concern. the 1st is you get some earplugs to positioned on in mattress, close your canines in the kitchen over evening, and don't go right down to verify him till morning. this might artwork, yet i does not advise it, and it may take some nights or some months formerly he realises the trend. the 2nd option is far less annoying to the canines than the 1st. basically you'll be able to desire to augment your canines's feeling of wellbeing jointly as he's constrained to the kitchen. in case you are able to confine your canines such that he can not see your mattress room door, which will make issues lots much less annoying. start up off by technique of being in the kitchen with him, and giving him numerous compliment. Then circulate out of the kitchen, out of the section wherein he's constrained. once you come back, provide him numerous compliment and doubtless a small take care of. it particularly is mandatory you come back to him formerly he starts off to whine and bark, or you would be exhibiting him that no longer in user-friendly terms do you seem while he cries, yet you seem with treats too! Repeat this, yet steadily get better away each and every time, till you're out of sight, or the different area of your mattress room door, or regardless of. From there, you in user-friendly terms advance the quantity of time formerly you come back to him. you will need numerous staying power, yet i'm effective that is going to artwork. you'll be able to additionally attempt making specific he has numerous toys to maintain him entertained in the process the day, and which you play with him plenty to tire him out. doggies want numerous sleep, yet while he's doing all of it in the process the day, he would be unsleeping extra at evening - so do no longer provide him too lots probability to oversleep after enjoying!

Do you have it in another room? Take it in the room you sleep in until it grows up a bit...They usually only whine if they are in a room by theirselves. Well they will whine for a little bit when you first start putting them in it. But they like to be around people, even if in the cage.
