Non-Christians, does it bother you when certain (not all, by any means) Christians call you "retard"

I am a Christian and it appalls me every time I see a "Christian" do or say something not wise. Other "Christians" wonder why people aren't running to be saved, but they never look at the example that they are setting. How can they claim to serve God, but then turn around and do stupid things that God would not approve of? It doesn't make sense. Not all Christians do this, thank God. There are very few Christians out there that actually live their life for God, and they should be an example for everyone. Even the people that claim to be "Christians". Christians sin, I'll admit it. But it's the stupid people that claim to be Christians and claim to be perfect and think of themselves higher than everyone else, that ruins the reputation for all the true Christians out there. If they were true Christians, they should be out there trying to lead people to the Lord instead of rubbing it in peoples face that they are better than others. People have free will, if they don't want to live a life for God, that is there choice. But let them make that choice- STOP pushing!! When and if they are ready, then they'll make that step. But some people just choose not to.

Man, I'm sorry some idiot Christians called you (or others) a "retard". I'm a Christian, and it really hurts when Christians insult non-christians for no reason. If were being retarded, that's another story, but I will assume you are an intelligent person.

Please remember that even though we are Christians, we're still human and we screw up sometimes.

Consider the use of the word retard. It is fairly obsolete and certainly politically incorrect. If Christians are upset by non-Christians you would hope that they could better verbalize their feelings. Why get upset by someone who is content to name call like an frustrated third grader?

I think that would be very rare. Even here on Answers, where insults fly all over the place, I haven't seen that one in that context, so if it has happened, it must have been rare. On the other hand I have seen Christians continually called idiots,morons, etc. So just what are you getting at?

It doesn't really bothers me until they e-mail me saying that I will go to hell if I don't become a Christian. I opt for ignoring them because, unless they have something constructive to say, what they say is not important.

I wish Christians would understand that insulting non believers and former believers is a lousy way to demostrate the love Jesus' has put in their hearts.

While I might be inclined to believe they have in depth experience on the subject, I place more emphasis on my own judgment of myself.

No, it just confirms their lack of logic and reason, as well as their inability to examine other points of view objectively. It showcases their hypocrisy. In short, it makes me glad I am NOT a Christian.....

Im Christian, and it bugs me when Christians call anyone retarted. Its a bad example to everyone about Christian values. Not that most of us actually follow Christian values, but where supposed to.
