One memory that I have is the first time I saw my soulmate. After getting lost I finally found the resturant he was waiting to meet me at. I got out of my car and turned, and he walked towards me with his hair flowing backwards (it was windy and he has shoulder-length hair). We both stopped for a moment. Then he picked me up, spun me around, but my feet back on the ground and we kissed. One of the most perfect moments I have had ever and I never regret giving my heart to him.

My "perfect moment"?
When I'm out camping in the mountains (The Rockies in Montana, up toward Glacier National Park) in the spring. I wake up after a night of being around the campfire with friends, talking till late into the night. I wake up to hear a light sprinkle on the tent, it is completely silent other than some birds in the forest and the patter of raindrops on the tent. When I move to get up, the rustling of the fabric is loud do to the overwhelming silence. Quietly climbing out of the tent careful not to disturb her, and walk out to the firepit, it's still early and grey from the clouds as I restart the fire and find some food to fix for breakfast. It's a cool morning, but I'm comfortable in my light fleece jacket, jeans and cap. I can hear the rain drops landing on the trees and other items around the campsite. Pour some juice to tide me over till the food is fixed. One of my friends comes out next and to whisper "good morning" sounds like a yell in the silence. More people awaken as the smell of a campfire breakfast starts to spread. The conversation gets louder as you start to make plans for the days hikes and discussions of what fishing holes we're eager to try out from the day before.
That is one of the most perfect kind of moments I can ever think of. And even as a non-practicing Christian, that is the kind of moment that brings your closer to God and his creation than any church or service ever could.

My husband surprising me by saying he wanted to take a drive on a hot summer night. He drives to a secluded area of one of the huge lakes we live by, and takes out of the trunk everything needed for a romantic midnight picnic - candles in hurricane lamps, chilled wine, finger foods, chocolate, blanket, towels. The only thing missing was our swimsuits! So we had no choice but to go skinny dipping :o) While holding each other in the water, we noticed the sky changing colour. We looked up and saw the most spectacular display of northern lights I have ever seen. It filled the whole sky and went on for about an hour. It was so beautiful, it brought tears to our eyes. It felt like the universe was putting on a celebration just for us! We're in the Souther Interior of BC so it is rare to see Northern Lights, especially in the summer! (I lived in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, for about a year when I was 19 and never saw Northern Lights as spectacular as that hot August night.
