i am allergic to raw fish so i need to know

It is cooked. If you have allergies tho, you should be aware that most tuna that is labeled "packed in spring water" is actually packed in a broth containing soy and other allergens. I use Natural Sea brand tuna which is safe from allergens

Cooked, raw tuna has a different consistency, definitely cooked.

All canned tuna, as far as I know, is COOKED! Chow down!

The best way to tell if fish is cooked is to see if it "flakes", that is, pulls away easily from itself. Most fish will "flake" when cooked.

Generally, items that are canned are cooked -- or at least steamed in the can.

Tuna is cooked. You should be okay. But, if you are in doubt about your allergy -- don't eat it.
