For cheesecake a blender probably won't work, even if the cream cheese is very soft. If I were you I'd let it soften up as long as possible and either (a) mix it by hand, or (b) borrow a hand mixer -- electric or manual -- from someone. The problem with a blender is the cheesecake mixture doesn't get to a liquid consistency even in a mixer, so the blender probably won't do a very good job of getting all the lumps out of the cream cheese. Better to use a mixer or do it by hand.

NO -- UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE THE BLENDER. If you don't have a mixer, then mix it by hand with a large spoon, spatula, or other utensil. The blender might break up the pieces too finely and you don't ever want to mix anything beyond the point of simply blending. Buy an inexpensive hand blender until you can get a good quality stand mixer.

i am not sure a blender would be your best bet although it will probably work to mix ingreditents it may cause some problms withthe cheese cake if you are going to bake it. I don't have a mixer either so i generally use a food processor with the blade in it not the shredder of course. actually go ahead and use the blender because if using a food processor doesn't hurt the cheese cake surly a blender will not hurt it either.

i'd advise against that. you would better of using a food processor. i got an inexpensive hand mixer from Target online. it works great and i seem to use it even more than the very expensive kitchen-aid mixer.

go to the store and buy one. A simple hand mixer is like $5.00 now days. That way you will have one for all your mixing.

I don't know. You should ask someone with more experiences. Or you can borrow your neighbor's.

The best answer is BS. I made the best cheesecake by beating everything in a blender.

a blender would not work.
