I told this guy I was attracted and he smile we went on with our conversation. Why come he cannot give me a compliment its been over a month?

Yes, I already know he likes me and I like him. No, he does not have a problem giving people compliments in their presence. He is a center of attention person out spoken, But when we are alone he is calm quite and very understanding.

Sorry......Did you go out? Do you talk all the time? Do you kiss or touch? Are you his girlfriend? Do you date? Do you hang out?
I just don't see his interest in you.......you need to give more detail for us to understand what is going on because all I got is that you told him you liked him as you were talking but he never said he liked you nor did you tell us if you are still seeing you as a date or something like that!!
I think that if a talk is all you guys had and it has been over a month he is either not interested or really really stupid to see a girl who likes him and is not doing anything about it.....even if he had a girl friend I think if you are really a good package he would somehow make time for you because that is what the average guy would do!!!!
If a guy does not responds in over a week he is not interested or maybe if you are in highschool or below grade......he is just a rookie and is trying to come up with something goood if this is not the case, move on!!!

being a guy, i can tell you its not easy to give women compliments, especially if they're really hot. He might be embarrased, or he might not know how to give a compliment. Some guys find it very hard. You might try asking him how he feels. this might make it easier for him to open up in the future.
