So he is chosen to be the new table tennis team's captain. Do these two sentences contain any errors.

What grammatical errors do you see in those sentences above.?

I would omit the last "can" in the first sentence - not because it's wrong, it just sounds more natural without it. And I would use the perfect passive in the second sentence; also, the word "so" is a conjunction in English so you do not need to begin a new sentence. Finally, the possessive on the word "team's" is not incorrect, but, again, it sounds more natural without it: thus:-

"He can play table tenis better than any (other) boy in the school, so he has been chosen to be the new table tennis team captain OR he has been chosen to be the new captain of the table tennis team."

He can play Table Tennis better than any boy in the school. So he was chosen to be the new Table Tennis team's captain.

Actually, it would be more correct to add "play" after "can" (even if I'm the one who told you to end the sentence with "can"), but it could get a bit pedantic sounding. Also you can't start a sentence with "so", at least not in this meaning.
