Tell him that you love him, that he's the best boyfriend, and tell him that you'll always be there for him, and he can tell you anything and tell him that he means the world to you, tell him that how great he takes care of you, and tell him how he makes you feel. And tell him he's the only one in your life.

...everyone goes through allot of stuff in their lives darling...so what's up with his stuff originally? Depressed???....about what really? I think you have the right as his woman, to go out on a limb and ask him a few pertinent questions here hun. Depression takes on the look of many odd and revealing behaviors seriously. We don't want him blaming you for any of his own bad behaviors here hun. People have a tendency to make excuses not to do stuff,...especially when they're not feeling mentally well and right. He might possibly need to see a therapist maybe. I believe honesty with yourself will tell you he 's just kinda making excuses for his own bad self really. I know you love him to death here darling...maybe that's his issue. Too much too quickly and too hurriedly makes honey feel like he's being a little bit smothered to death possibly. Give him a little break hun. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Do you know what the issues are that he is going through that are making him depressed? If you do, work off of those for supportive answers for him. If it's really serious, he needs to see a doctor for therapy or anti-depressants. Depending what the doctor chooses for him. You can't do it for him if it's a serious depression. Just be there to support him and listen.

There isn't much information in your question about why he is depressed, but I think you can comfort him by telling him that life is too short to live it in saddness and depression. Days pass by so quickly that we don't notice that they are days that we will never be able to make up for. Tell him you love him and you are there to help him through his ordeal until he is out of it. Make yourself available for him and show him that you are committed to him.

There is not much you can say, just let him know whatever it is you are going to be there for him, and it will be ok.
