If the message refers to a company (barrister, bank, lottery, etc) that says it is in the UK, forward it to the Metropolitan Police along with full email headers to fraud.alert@met.police.uk (instructions on getting email headers below).

If it's coming from somebody@yahoo.co.uk then forward the message (again, with full email headers) to abuse@yahoo.co.uk and request that they close the account.

Chances are high that you'll get no responses, if you didn't lose money; however, those are the appropriate places to file reports.

If you are are referring to scam lotteries forget it. I'm have sure they know about it and it is probably not coming from the UK.

yea its coming from another country there trying to trick you, go to police to on line Det to track them down good luck
