slow walk(2 mph) is 175 calories an hour.
At that pace you would have to walk 20 hours or 10 miles to lose one pound.
(although I think most people walk at 2.5 mph which is 210 calories)

It varies. You need to factor in your weight, speed. If your walking on flat ground for an hr.. On avg. you might burn 300 cal.
