I have tried booking hotels far in advance and I have tried booking them a couple days before the actual trip, either way I cant seem to find a good deal, the prices are still the regular price. Also, whenever I use those website that say they get you good deals on airfare and hotels, they never come up with something better than what the actual hotel is offering. They do list some really cheap hotels but Im not looking for a deal at the Days Inn!!!!!!!!!!!! Im talking about a nice Atlantic City hotel on the boardwalk.......

Fact is Atlanticcity isnt going to barter--- that answer is what dude reads-- I wonder if he ever did it.

I have been in Ac for 10 years- They have their weekday rates which are cheap- and weekends are always higher.

Look at http://atlanticcity.com/rate they will give u a bunch of reviews of hotels to make your choice.

They also guarantee lowest rates

Call the hotels yourself and BARTER with them. Unfortunately, you probably will have to wait for the day of the night you want to stay. If they say they only have a room for $200, tell them you want something cheaper. It doesn't work all the time, but hotels DO NOT want empty rooms EVER. A room given at 1/2 price is still better than an open room. Keep in mind that if it is during a high season (spring break, etc.) you are at the mercy of the hotels. But still call- they do get cancellations daily.

Have you tried Hotwire? http://www.hotwire.com

You can't choose a specific hotel, but they will tell you the general location, the amenities, etc. I got the Chicago Airport Hilton for $49 a night once.

I like Hotwire better than Priceline, as you have more of an idea of what you are getting for your money. With Priceline you can specify how many stars, but if a specific feature is important to you, you can't tell if you'll get it or not. And Priceline doesn't let you compare several different packages the way Hotwire does.

I have used Hotwire for air travel as well, but when they booked me on a 7am flight on Sunday morning, that really wrecked my weekend getaway (it kills Saturday night if you have to get up at 4:30 am Sunday!), so now I only use it for hotels (often) or rental cars (rarely)!
