Just do a Google search for Excel Password and you'll find lots of tools to do this job - some free, some not.

If I remember correctly, even calling a support won't help. This is something that you put in your computer and you are warned that there will be no way to retrieve it if you don't make a note of the password.

Suggest that you keep trying but in the meantime you will need to try to copy information into a new sheet.

Im not aware of any method to do this. The password protection is put in place as a security measure, and any other way to unprotect it would probably constitute a hack in MS's mind. You might have some luck on www.microsoft.com, or calling their support (if you want to pay for it)

Can not be down - without a password reset disk.
Sadly I made this mistake as well.
I lost my AS level coursework due to this,

All I can suggest is you try to copy and paste material over, or you ring up Microsoft.
