who told you these phrases? They don't look right to me. especially 'hace un lindo dia aquí'. There are small differences in the pronunciation of European and American Spanish and minor grammatical differences but they are essentially the same. like I said, they look weird ,make sure your teacher knows what they're talking about!! I learnt Spanish in Latin America and used the excuse that it was 'Latin American Spanish' to explain away my mistakes!!! Good luck with your studies.

oh! and incidentally, they would mean something like:
a kiss my little love (the -cito bit means little)

it's a beautiful day here (but like I said, it's wrong, it would be like saying 'a day beautiful here' in English)

and I'll call you soon (pronto is soon, later would be 'mas tarde')

Latin american Spanish is not correct.
every single latin country have a different accent and modisms, the spanish in Argentina sounds more like italian, while the spanish in Mexico is more like what Americans think of spanish.
If you want to learn spanish, you should learn a neutral spanish.
